This is a selection of portraits all drawn from life. I am currently working on a series of pictures in which the subject is working with me on their own portrait, thus becoming an exciting combination of two (or more) people working on one image. See my 'What I'm Up To' page for some work in progress. It is especially fun working with children in this way. I have worked in oil, mixed media and using digital technologies in creating portraits and will put more images up of past work when time allows. My charcoal drawing in the series in the left panel was awarded first prize in the Pacific Art League of Palo Alto's 97th Members' Exhibition November 2018, selected from some 200 entries I believe.
